In the case of inward processing, goods from third countries can be imported into the EU customs area and after completion of the work (processing, processing, repair) leave the EU customs area again as processed products.
The advantage: There are no import duties!
Two possibilities:

Processing
With this customs procedure, goods from the EU customs area are exported to third countries for processing and then re-imported into the EU after further processing. This procedure takes into account that the finished goods contain goods from the customs area of the EU, on which no customs duties are levied.
The calculation method of value-added customs clearance is used.
